Our story
In 2009, Dr. Abigail Moore, a pediatric dentist, and Daniel Plewman, a professional in high-stress environments, joined forces with a vision. Abigail was frustrated with the lack of comfortable, stylish scrubs in the UK and Irish market. She believed that healthcare professionals deserved uniforms that fit well and looked great. Meanwhile, Daniel wanted to transform company culture, creating a positive environment that valued well-being, respect, and collaboration. Starting from a small spare room in a row of terraced cottages, they founded Happythreads. Their mission was simple: make work a happier place for everyone, from customers to staff and suppliers. Today, Happythreads is one of the largest dedicated scrub suppliers in the UK and Ireland, with over 20 happy employees. At Happythreads, we embrace the idea of distributed decision-making, where every voice matters. We believe in a collaborative atmosphere where everyone is a stakeholder, fostering an inclusive and empowering work environment.
